Summer reading game starts immediately after Jeopardy!
The YA Summer reading program kicks off with a Jeopardy competition centered around the reading theme which is “Every Story has a Hero”.
Lead by the YA librarian, Maureen McManus, participants will test their knowledge in this face paced game. Students are then encouraged to sign up for the YA Summer Reading Challenge. The program is online and children are responsible for logging what they have read and answering a few questions about the book. The flexibility of using an online program is great for children traveling or attending a sleep away camp. Prizes are calculated by pages read and at the end of the summer gift cards are rewarded.
